About

WordCamp Buffalo is a one day conference held in Buffalo, NY focusing on WordPress. Our goal is to increase knowledge about WordPress for people who already are working with it, and show some benefits of using it for anyone who may be interested, but aren’t currently working with WordPress.

WordCamps are a bit different than your typical Conference. WordCamps are informal, community-organized events with information for anyone from a new user to a core developer. The goal is to get to know WordPress, and one another. For that reason, ticket prices are more than fair for attendees.

Tickets are $20.00 per person, and include breakfast pastries and refreshments, as well as lunch, and a WordCamp Buffalo T-Shirt. There will be a user centric set of presentations that help bloggers & business owners. On the other side, there will be a Developer/Designer track that is more advanced WordPress discussion about theme and plugin development, best practices for development, and more.

  1. Hello

Is there a place to post for speaker submission if you are interested in presenting?

    Hi,

When will you be opening up speaker submissions? I spoke at WC Buffalo last year and really enjoyed it and am looking forward to coming back and speaking again this year.

What is the date for WordCamp Buffalo?
I live in New Mexico, but am from the Rochester area, so I’m thinking I could come for a family visit too!

    Hi,

I am excited to be attending. Thanks for all the work in putting this together.
I have attended a few camps and held my own local meetups. I am really interested in joining or starting a Camp in my city. One of my biggest concerns of course is accommodating the finances. I was reading through the WordCamp Planning site, specifically the Transparency section, where it states

your event is still required to be transparent about the budget and funding. In the spirit of the original BarCamps, budgets should be posted for the community to see.

Can you please point us to the budget for Buffalo2013? It would be a big help to see how it all works. THANKS!
